Animaritime 2013 Welcomes Brad Swaile

With Animaritime 2013 only a few months away, we're thrilled to announce our third and final guest for this year's convention - Brad Swaile! Joining us from Vancouver, Brad is one of Canada's biggest voice acting talents and has years of experience voicing many of our favourite characters including Death Note's Light, Dragonball Z's Gohan and Gundam Wing's Quatre. We're excited to welcome him to our new home in Fredericton and hear some insights on being a voice actor and bringing life to so many beloved characters.

With Animaritime 2013 creeping ever closer (much to our joy!), we at Animaritime are pleased to announce returning guest, Ed Chavez! As the marketing director for Vertical Inc, and long-time fan and professional of the manga industry, Ed brought a wealth of knowledge with him when he attended as a guest at Animaritime 2011. We're thrilled to welcome him back to Canada to once again share with us his passion and insight into the world of manga.

The response to Animaritime 2013 has been huge! But with so much popularity, there's always a few problems too. There are not too many rooms left in the hotel block, but we're working hard to find more options for our incredible attendees.

Animaritime 2013 Welcomes Kumar Sivasubramanian

We at Animaritime are pleased to announce our first guest for Animaritime 2013! Join us in welcoming Kumar Sivasubramanian, a seasoned manga translator who has worked on titles such as Blade of the Immortal and Knights of Sidonia, as well as serving as an English consultant to the anime company, Sunrise Inc. Kumar is also a native Frederictonian before moving to Austrailia, making him an even more perfect guest to commemorate our first year at our new location!

DJ Bludston spins again! (Jpop Dance 2013)

We are excited to announce the return of DJ Bludston to Animaritime for our annual Jpop Dance! He will be bringing the best of music for you to dance and jam to! At a later date, he will be accepting song requests via email (dj.bludston@gmail.com) and facebook! Keep your eyes peeled!

Spreading the Christmas Cheer! (Early Bird Extension + Astro Boy swag)

The Animaritime staff hopes your holidays are festive and full of delicious turkey and goodies. In the spirit of the holidays, we have a couple small gifts for you! With the Early bird deadline in sight (25$ for the weekend), we are extending the deadline to January 14th, 2013! That's right, we've added two weeks worth of time to take advantage of the early bird pricing! In addition to that, pre-register and the first 100 pre-registrants will receive an Astro Boy DVD, as donated by Hug-a-Gamer.

Animaritime 2013 Site Launches!

Welcome to the website launch for Animaritime 2013, marking the ninth year return of the Maritime provinces' anime & gaming convention!

We're really excited for some big changes coming to our event this year, most notably our move to Fredericton, New Brunswick. Animaritime 2013 will be held at the newly completed Fredericton Convention Centre and adjoining Crowne Plaza hotel which boosts a lot of additional space for more of the events, vendors and artists that you love!

All the staff of Animaritime would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone for the fantastic Animaritime this year! Animaritime 2012 went smoothly and was so much fun. From the panels, to the cosplay, to the cleared-in-record-time registration line, everyone came together to make this a con to remember!

Our staff are all travelling home this week but are already hard at work planning for Animaritime 2013. Keep an eye here on our website, Facebook, Twitter and your e-mail accounts for some news, offers and input requests over the next couple of weeks.
